Orisha 101 is a 2-part foundational course designed for seekers, beginners, and curious minds ready to explore the sacred world of the Orisha and African Spiritual Practices. Whether you’re new to the path or deepening your journey, this course offers a grounded and accessible introduction rooted in culture, history, and personal empowerment.

Through story, spirit, and scholarship, we’ll explore the origin of the Orisha, the role of ancestors, and how to bring these traditions into your modern life with intention and integrity.

Class 1: Who Are the Orisha?

• The cosmology of creation in Yoruba spirituality

• Olodumare, Orunmila, and the divine blueprint

• Introduction to the most venerated Orisha across the diaspora (like Ogun, Oshun, Yemaya, Shango, Eshu)

• Understanding energy, archetype, and alignment

Class 2: Ancestors & Initiation

• The sacred role of ancestral veneration in Orisha traditions

• How to begin a personal ancestral practice

• Initiation: What it is (and isn’t)

• Isese, Lucumí, Candomblé — honoring the different lineages
