About Me

I am Ashley Ashé, the Orisha Storyteller and founder of Ashé Shop. I am an initiate of the Ifa/Lucumi Traditions.  I tell the stories of our ancestors that existed before we were enslaved. These stories connect us to our African roots while amplifying our American experience. I had created The Ashé Shop as a space for individuals to learn and ask questions about African traditional religions while navigating their spiritual journeys. Ashé is the spiritual knowledge, power, and wisdom possessed by all. The Ashé Shop promotes personal development through the use of traditional spiritual practices.

I have a Masters in Psychology, as well as over 10 years of experience working with individuals and families coping with depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and various other mental illnesses. I have excelled at teaching how mental illnesses manifest in our lives and ways to cope through therapeutic techniques. My professional experiences have increased my understanding of self and have motivated me to inspire and empower others to live their best lives.

My mission is to end cycles of mental illness and generational trauma through the use of Traditional Spiritual Practices. I believe connecting to our roots will help us heal from the effects of enslavement and racial injustice. The stories of the Orishas can help African Americans develop an enlightened understanding of our cultural heritage and shared history with Africa and the African diaspora. The stories I tell connect us to the knowledge and wisdom that was stolen from our ancestors.
