This month we will focus on the influence of Christianity and colonialism on the African American experience. We will discuss how people of color continue to be influenced by oppressive practices and how we can begin unlearning outdated beliefs that may be keeping us from embracing African Traditional Religions. We will discuss the methods our ancestors used to hold on to their ancestral beliefs and ways we can integrate ancestral practices into our everyday lives. By attending this spiritual workshop, you will gain insight into the complexities of African American spiritual life and how to reclaim and practice African Traditional Religions. You will also learn to identify and break down power structures and oppressive systems. Re-ignite your spiritual growth to live a life full of ancestral wisdom.

This meetup provides an opportunity to learn and share your experiences. Open dialog and questions are encouraged. This is an 1 1/2 - 2 hour meet-up conducted via zoom. (Zoom link will not be emailed) We will engage in group discussion, mediation and prayer, and collective tarot reading.
